The main objectives of Sa nkalpa are to develop the role and capacity ofwomen to achieve its goals for peace. development, participation, and justice. As such it can be summed up as the following:

  • Ensuring equal and proportionate rights for diverse women groups (dalit, ethnic, Madheshi, Muslim, displaced, conflict affected, sexual minorities, single, disabled, Brahmin, Chhetri and other geographically marginalized and disadvantage groups) and to work for their meaningful participation at all levels of the state mechanisms.
  • To build the capacity and leadership qualities of women disadvantaged from political, social, geographical, economical, cultural and racial aspects, and
  • To advocate and lobby for various issues of all women by coordinating and collating with national and international organizations and various women's network/alliances.
